“Street as a Mirror” is the first book by Greek photographer Stavros Stamatiou, with a foreword by Stella Johnson and Ermis Kasapis. Over 120 photographs show how reality intersects with fantasy, experiencing otherworldly and dream-like sensations. “The bizarre, the surreal, the hidden, the poetry of everyday life”, are the things that inspire Stavros Stamatiou. He photographs at all hours of the day and night, without a plan. This limited edition is an attempt to capture on paper this strong connection with his subconscious, the contrast between reality and fantasy at the level of one’s experience.
